SMPF and PHD RDF & PHD FWF have taken up the following two important projects:

1. PIF-PHD RDF Project ‘Community Led Participatory Water Harvesting Initiatives Promoting Rural Development In The Water Starved Villages of Sikar District In Rajasthan’.

SMPF, the associates of Palriwala India Foundation (PIF) has been supporting PHD-RDF in the area of RURAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT by implementation of water harvesting projects in Sikar and Alwar districts for about a decade. As many as ten water harvesting projects have already been implemented in rural areas of Sikar and Alwar with financial assistance from SMPF/PIF. Under these projects other activities like plantation, construction of sanitation facilities, and formation of SHGs and training of women have also been taken up.

Details of the water harvesting projects implemented in Sikar & Alwar districts of Rajasthan with financial support from SMPF/PIF are given below:

Listed below are benefits arising out of the above projects which speak themselves about the impressive success of these Social Welfare activities:

  1. Agricultural yield on an average has doubled in most of the villages with the implementation of these projects.
  2. Average milk yield with improved availability and green fodder has gone up by about one and half times.
  3. Water level in the wells was at 60-70 ft. before implementation of the projects which has now come up at the level of about 35-45 ft. and in some cases even higher than that too.

2. PIF-PHD RDF-FWF Project ’Mobile Medical Van’

SMPF, the associates of Palriwala India Foundation (PIF) has been supporting PHD-FWF in the area of PROVIDING PREVENTIVE, CLINICAL, DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL CARE TO THE POOR VILLAGERS AND SLUM DWELLERS AT THEIR DOORSTEP. The project was started in April 1999 when PHDRDF-FWF and PIF jointly launched a well equipped Mobile Medical Van.

The Mobile Medical Van is sent to various villages in Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar districts of Shekhavati region and other rural areas of Rajasthan, U.P, Uttrakhand, Haryana, H.P and Slums of Delhi & NCR.
